Leica
I'm no photog and I know many of you peeps in here are pretty hardcore/experts...So, gotta ask: What's the hype with Leica? Is it legit worth it...? Most threads in here go between Sony, Canon, and Nikon. Maybe Olympus. But, we don't seem to talk much about Leica.
I only know of them because for some reason, Leica seems to go hand-in-hand with timepieces and I dabble in the nutbar latter world and always seem to see a camera from that company posed with a watch.

Leica is up there with Hasselblads of the world and at a different level than the Prosumer Sony/Canon/Nikons of the word.. I'd consider them one of the more Elite brands and more expensive, hence why people don't talk about it as much.
I friend of mine used to own a Leica and apparently, once you sign up for their magazine subscription, you get it for life, because to this day, they send him a copy every other month, he'll browse through them and then gives them to me, they make nice coffee table decorations
But seriously, I look through them and while the images are nice, I really think that "Leica look" can be done with any brand camera, but you just gotta know how to edit.

Leica is a bit of a lifestyle and experience. They are rangefinder style cameras. Very simple in what they do without a lot of tricks or toys. Their glass is generally hailed as the optically best glass you can buy (in most cases). And, yes, you pay for that luxury.
