These are either the people i've met or got to talk to when picking out their photos, or i just simply liked their outfit or they were just really mature or tall for their age.
images taken with nikon d300
80-200 2.8 non vr
and 18-200 vr
you can tell the difference!

lcrazyaznl, You got some really nice pictures there!
OK, so here are some questions as I try to learn:
I am wondering what your focus point was? Head, face, body, etc...
Also, did you shoot any in metering modes other than center weighted average? How do you think spot metering would have differed with the weird lighting they had?
Also, I noticed the blue light theme. What did you do regarding white balance to compensate? In camera custom (what did you set WB with), or PP adjustment?

I actually was focusing on the eyes the best i could. On the 18-200 lens it was a bit harder since i had to bump up the iso to get a clear shot.
Also when they were coming down the spotlights we flare up on them only for 15 seconds. So some of them had light some didn't.
When they walked out at the turn it sucked cuz the spot lights weren't on them no more.
I just did some photoshop editing, but overall they came out decent on the d300.
Next time i have to watch out for wb, and set up a custom wb if i can. The photographer that i worked with said the lighting sucked here and there but what can you do.

I have to say the pictures with the 80-200 2.8 were by far the best, but for the 18-200 it held up pretty well for a lot of the pictures, i'm looking to get either the 80-200 myself or the 70-200 vr...
there goes the money i made haha..
