I'm an amateur 56k warning

This was my idea! I told him to slowly unzip his hoodie while I clicked away! hehe This is the result of 20 frames:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v178/shay654/JohnnySkull.gif">

I had to post this on top to get the effect that I wanted for this pic!

But I wanted to share a few pieces of a recent photoshoot for my cousin's friends. Like I said, I'm an amateur and is still learning, but any feedback whether it be positive or negative would be appreciated! Thanks!

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1389/1400100657_85888dd160_b.jpg">

It took me a few tries to finally get the guys in one frame, but I think this turned out well! I saw "fear" tagged on a parking hump or whatever you call that, so I had the guys pose in front of it. Besides, their rap group name is BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) I figured it fit!

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1214/1400980966_27a6017df0_b.jpg">

I had to take a pic of his grill and tat..hehe

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1174/1400944108_767de4bb9f_b.jpg">

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1362/1400890744_e46ce798fa_b.jpg">

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1222/1399999281_4b3d217ef5_b.jpg">

I took this with only ONE shot! I couldn't keep the flash from flashing, so I stuck with just this shot and lightened it! One of my faves!

<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1280/1400863156_b46d04bf94_b.jpg">

This shot didn't take that many takes as the first pic! haha So, I was pretty happy with that!

So, who wants a photoshoot?! hahahaha jk

those are some cool shots. I like the different techniques you used for each one, they're all different. I really love the one with the green wall.

I think the grain added to the shot in that instance.

At times it seems like I'm watching different scenes from a video, but I like the shots.

+1, convert to b&w, the grain (noise) should had to the conversion.

Yup! Green wall shot is definitely my favorite shot, too.

Also agree, that the grain doesn't detract at all from the back seat shot...I like that one as well. Nice work!

Thanks guys much appreciated! I actually asked the mods to delete this thread because I got scared of what the people's reactions would be and I didn't want to put my so-called out there in front of all these professionals...haha But thanks!

Yeah, I know what you mean! I didn't want the grainy look, but since this was taken with only 2-3 shots and some were all pitch black and one where the flash hit, I just kept it and just lightened it! Is there a way to get rid of the grain? I wanted a more clean look, but when lightening the pic it didn't look clean!

And I got my rebel xti a few months ago, so yeah I'm really new at this! I need all the help I can get and that's why I've been lurking in this thread for a while and just decided to post a bit of what I've taken so far!

Yeah, hahahaha I guess it does! My style and technique is still a work in progress! I used to date a photographer, so I learned a bit from him. I mean, I've always taken photos because when I see something interesting, I want to take it from MY perspective and I never really had a REAL camera to do so! I used my phone for most shots I've taken in earlier years! haha But I'm used to shooting urban decay than anything and I wanted to try at photoshoots of people to expand and diversify! Besides, my cousin asked for a favor because they wanted new pictures to be taken, so I was kind of using that oppurtunity to see what I can do. I guess we were both using eachother as guinea pigs in that respect! haha

What's trippy about it is, the guy in the red actually JOCKED my car! haha He was asking what it was and that it looked very nice. So, I guess even when it comes to "hardcore" people they can appreciate the sporty and luxury of a TSX!

I'm no expert, but the lower ISO the less noise, higher ISO more noise. (Sorry if I have the wrong idea... )

BTW, great shots, I like the green one the most.

I've used Noise Ninja in the past. Easy to use and eliminates the noise or grain in your shots.

Just to show you an example of removing the noise post processing, using your own photo, I ran your backseat picture through Noise Ninja so you can see the result. I just ran this through quickly with any modifying. Here it is before and after:

^^^^ I love it! Thank you! Is that a program? I might need to get that! I needed something to get rid of the grain! Looks way better in my opinion!

Yup, I used the program Noise Ninja, like I said. It's easy to use and produces some pretty good results as you can see.

I find that noise ninja is a great application, but it tends to make your image look like plastic. Generally, I run it through noise ninja, then put it through Alien Skin Exposure to add more realistic grain and give the illusion of detail.

Exposure is a pricey plugin, but it's worth every penny...

Yeah, I kinda noticed that it looks a bit like a painting. But I just like the way it has that clean look! Is there another program where it makes the pictures a bit more original when eliminating noise?
