ok well then im obviously not gonna look into getting that package... just dont like shooting with that lens... it feels cheap to me. id much rather have the 18-135 with the IS.
plus dan is a photo god in my opinion, the dude could make a disposable look like a mark III if he wanted to.

no the new 18-55 IS isnt available yet.
he used the same 18-55 lens that came with your 20D
i still use that as well on my Xti, and i still get fantastic pictures with it. i guess it depends on what you're trying to do with it and if you got a good copy or not.

damn just found out they are carrying the 40d w/ 28-135mm lens kit at Best Buy...

I'm not sure which discount you're speaking of, but I wouldn't bank on one for the 40D/28-135 kit for a while. It's a pretty hot item right now.
I'd check Fred Miranda to get an idea of what 20D's are selling for.

This place is tiny & would bore you to tears - just one little barn on ~ 3 acres. Nothing too interesting...just thought I'd wander around early some morning & shoot close-ups of the ponies. More for therapeutic value than anything else. Stay on my ass about the other farm, though. I really think you'd enjoy that place.

i hope so, cause the focusing on the XTi is good, but not great.. lately ive been noticing how often my camera mis focuses and in good light too.
and dont get me started with using it in AI-servo.

I can say the same about the 20D. AF is good, but it can be fooled, sometimes at the worst times. I never did get the hang of AI Servo for sports shooting. I'm looking forward to seeing how much better the 40D is.

I would love to go but didn't know how things were/are going for you, so I didn't want to bug you. Maybe when the leaves start to really turn and before they drop.
