Delta-it's GREAT to see you're still hangin' out on Acurazine. I haven't seen you posting in the Auto Sections, so it's good to see you here!

Great club shots-with women and costumes like that, it's a shame Halloween only comes once a year!

Delta, NICE stuff! Looks like a LOT of fun doing the club photo stuff (albeit a lot of stress, too, probably).

Nice work!

Is there any pointers you guys would go about shooting in a club.

Like with flash do you guys use high iso and drag the shutter?

and do you guys play with rear curtain for motion.

oh it truly is! people love holidays and special occasions, instead of making new ones like "sweetest day" there should be more like Halloween! Maybe something like Indulgence Day.. or Club Med Day or something. thanks.

Nice shots. How were you aiming your flash?

thanks for all the compliments guys,i appreciate them all!

i would aim generally around 45* up(and sometimes out via vertical shots), never directly at the person, with my stofen on the flash. i used rear sync in prob every pic posted.

Ah thanks for the info. Sometimes I don't know my pictures seem to come out better with the stofen off and only when i bounce off decent high ceilings and flat.

Cool yesterday I got to test out some rear curtain sync. Its pretty fun I think i went a bit crazy on the effects like 1 - 2 seconds for someof the dark ambient to get in.
but it was fun the ceilings are tricky. some of them are nice and flat but black so had to push out more power.

Other parts were pits that shot no light on them. Af with the d300 was pretty good i only got stuck a few times getting lock how about you?

Hey delta any other pointers you would give for others shooting at a club =P

i'm trying see what other people say about using a on camera flash diffuser or bracket cuz some places the ceilings are way to high to bounce and i'm not happy with shooting with just the stofen or bounce card.

Any suggestions?

i would say composition is a key factor, bad poses or group photos with gaps between random people can ruin a shot, and bunny ears...lol

ive noticed i get similar results with or without the stofen depending on the angle of the flash..its really up to you i think to be creative with your flash (its what im learning about myself anyway)

little trick i learned last night- use ur hand as a bounce card and it can really warm the photos up in the skin tones.
