i was at sears the other day and they had the d60 onsale for $415 with 18-55mm lens but the sales guy told me its going to be discontinued?

 

Sounds like he just wants you to buy the camera

 

There were rumors that a possible replacement was going to be announced this week (14th) but I don't believe it was confirmed. There's a picture floating around of a Nikon DSLR with a flip screen that some thought could be the replacement.

 

Ha ha, my first reflex was, 'well, duh, I bought mine six years ago....'
then I opened the thread and was 'oh, right'

Walmart wants about $500 for a d40 with the same lens... I saw one tonite...

 

that is a great price, i was really tempted to buy it since normally its about $200 more

 

I am in the market for a new camera... I wish I could find one around here for that amount... in fact, I am gonna call Sears today...

 

online, the d60 is $599 at sears

 

you should call around the stores to see if any of them have it on sale.
