LOL, yes it is. The first picture was hard to get because it was moving from the wind. I didnt want to go to high with the iso.
I am still learning though so I hope the pictures will get better and more clear. The first two came out kind of blurry.

Instead of starting a new thread I will just add to this one
More pics from the 40D. I need to get better at picking the right F stop. I think that would make my pictures look much better.

Great pics. I'm thinking of getting a 40D myself.
Don't mean to threadjack here, but it's the right audience so I guess I'll ask:
I'm confused about difference between EF-S vs. EF lenses. I understand that with EF lenses, you multiply the focal lengths by 1.6x to get the full frame equivalence. Now say I have an EF-S lens. Do I do the same? e.g. 17-55mm is actually 27.2mm-88mm equivalent? I thought that with EF-S lenses, 17-55mm is actually 17-55mm, but I've been reading about EF-S lenses and I see mention of multiplying by 1.6x again to get the true focal lengths.
Someone help please, I'm confused.

A 17-55 is a standard zoom on a 40D whereas it would be an ultrawide zoom on a full-frame body.

Canon lists the true focal length on every lens it sells (even on P&S bodies), but you need to know how big the sensor is to calculate the effective field of view.

Thanks. I need to figure out how to post process my pics. All my pictures in this post except for the last one came right from camera, well except for resizing. I need to learn that PS is my friend.
