After looking at these, the grapes I'm snacking on just aren't cutting it.

I like the way you caught the shadow of that shake(?).

So what all did you order? Hummus, pastrami, some kind of martini, a chocolate shake and three pieces of arugula with a strawberry?

i think your pictures are way too soft... just out of curiosity, do you use f/1.4 a lot?

At 1.4 most of the image is going to be soft, you have to look for the focus point (which is clearly present one just about everyone I'm looking at here), which is very hard to do with these size images.

Yea I don't always use the 50mm since i got 17-55 2.8.

So i figure I'd travel light and workon playing with the 50mm 1.4
There was one strong halogen light above us so the shadows were awesome, and intentional.

I got a chocolate martini
creamy loaded potatoes soup
rueben sandwhich

forgot the names
one was a apine apple turkey club
and some cheese sandwich

our friend got a chocolate milkshake
here are some others

The girlfriend she was camera shy cuz i'd be posting it haha.

I own one 50.4 myself as well. I was just asking because some people use f/1.4 exclusively on that lens, but in my opinion, that's not necessarily best use of that lens.

Oh i do open it up at times, but for that I was just enjoying the creamy effects looking at the 85 1.4 in the future on fx.
