Castle Mountain
Same pano twice. I have had the B&W one printed to canvas and is on the wall now (13" x 64"). because it's so short and wide, I am thinking about doing the colour one the as well and putting them up like I have posted here.

Sorry, what I meant was I think the comp of that image would have been a little better with a little more to the top of that image. A little less foreground. But that's just my opinion. Though you couldn't see the top, the clouds would have balance it out a little more.

thanks everybody it was a fun trip
drigo I used canvaspop.com, no complaints. it took them a couple hours to send me a conformation copy, a day to process, and shipping arrived in 2 business days even though I paid for standard shipping. it was very well packaged and was what I expected. wife loves it too.
jupiter, I see what your saying and always appreciate input, especially composition direction.

I hope it didn't sound mean, it is much easier as well to see things after the fact. I do it a lot to myself. So when I'm out shooting, I try to think about what I would say when I chimp peak at my images on the back of the camera.
thanks stogie, I just had to pill off the highway at a municipal truck yard.
jupiter not mean, quite civil actually. besides this is still ramblings, if you get emotional on the internets it'd be best not to post. as I said I always appreciate advice, and your work speaks of your experience so don't hold back.

stogie I do have this pano in an 11 portrait shot version, but this one is 4 landscapes. what can I say it just seemed to turn out better.
used cs4 photomerge
no HDR done, I've tried HDR a couple of times. not very good at that technique. don't laugh, but I'll tell you how a noob does it.
stitch the shots
save as best quality jpeg and close
"open as" a camera raw file, I like working in ACR for the majority of my work
then finish off in CS4 (curves, shadows/highlights, b&w via "gradient tool" in adjustments window)
I often give photoshop a chance to improve my shots by selecting each "auto" (contrast, colour, tone), then toggle with "cntrl z" to see if each auto mode helps or hurts. I find it usually hurts, but there have been a few times where I've kept the adjustment
the last step is always usm
if anybody has a better work flow that would help (especially final IQ) please feel free to pass along any tips
