+1 I keep checking FedEx tracking almost as frequently as I hit F5 when AZine is down.
I'm just a little aprehensive because the last update still says "Oct 1, 2009 3:54 PMDeparted FedEx locationINDIANAPOLIS, IN" when it should have arrived in CA this morning and should be out on a truck for delivery. If it doesn't get delivered today, I'll be really ![Sad](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)

I'm just trying to decide where I want to go to play this weekend. So many choices...

Should get it today! Don't think I'll get to any great places to play with it. Too many things to do, but I'll definitely be messing around and R-ingTFM!

It's a good thing I'll have some time to play before you-know-who comes home...he'd have to pry it out of my hands to get any attention at all if I didn't have time to play for a bit first!

Congrats! Let us know your thoughts after you play with it for a while.
Mine is on the truck for delivery!! I really feel like such an idiot being THIS excited about it.
A friend of mine also bought into the (well deserved) hype and bought one yesterday. He called a local shop (in SLC) at 10:30 am and had one in his hands by noon

I checked tracking and it said delivered. So I called the front desk and ask if they had it. She said NO! I asked her to check again. She found it behind the desk. Should have it in my hand in minutes.

Battery is charging. It feels quite a bit heavier and more solid.
Regarding the RRS L-Bracket - I don't think the one from the 30D will work. I haven't tried, but the area below the lens mount is bulbed out more on the 7D than the 30D, so the lip on the L-Bracket will hit the bubled out area rather than grab the front of the camera. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks! I pretty much knew that would be the case with the bracket, but there was always that tiny chance.

I agree that it feels heavier. It's a dense little body. I read a review on POTN that called it a "deliberate" body, or something like that. I agree there, too. The wheels and switches are very secure. Not overly tight, or difficult, but not going to slip out of place. I like that there is a lock for the back wheel, now that the power switch has been moved.
Some people have knocked the chrome rings. They're so subtle. I actually rather like them, but then I like shiny...kinda like a toddler.

I love how easy it is to switch back & forth between live view/video/standard shooting modes. I love the level.
...More reading to do! Must figure out AF variations...
Oh, and did I mention....
