i found it by accident on Adorama while checking to see what my D80 was going for now...(had the upgrade bug in me for a moment)

they (Adorama) have this Camera Armor protection for $45 for the D80 and i never saw anything like it before...

 

It sells but I've never seen someone using it. That might say something about it.


That shot looks like it's a Transformer waiting to pop out.

 

I worked with a DP that had it on his D70...He said he only used it because a crew member on that current crew got it for him.

Basically its like the rubber "condoms" you see on iphones and what not.

Unless you were going into a warzone or something I wouldnt bother.

 

yeah adorama said this armor was like the iSkin for the ipods...
