Anyone have problems retuning defective merchandise to B+H?

Received my 190PROBX legs and 488RC4 head today, and the head is all jacked up.

The 360 degree panning mark ring is glued on crooked so I can't see about 40 degrees of it, and the panning lock lever is just plain missing. Big open hole with threads... Disappointed.

Anyway, are they good about exchanges? It is too late to call them today, so I get to stress about it overnight....

 

They have been pretty good to me about returns, especially for defective products.

You call them for an RMA and if its defective they'll credit you for shipping back to them.

I wouldn't sweat it.

 

OK, thanks. I think the ring may actually be on correctly, but the lever is definitely missing, and no where to be found in the box...

 

No issue. In fact, I got an RMA for items that were still in transit. lol I had purchased a 70-300VR a week earlier then went ahead and purchased a 18-200VR. I decided to return the 70-300VR and the 18-200VR (which was still in transit on UPS) for a 70-200. No issues at all.

 

Yeah, no issues at all. They're in my book.

 

OK, I got ahold of them and they are rushing a replacement out to me by the end of the week. Thanks for the reassurances.

Thanks. Allot of people speak highly of them, but allot of online reviews of places only cite "fast service" or "easy orders" or "low prices" when they rate a place. It's when an order goes bad that the real CS is revealed, and B+H has held true to the reviews!
