No, but if you elect to replace all my canon glass with nikon I will.

I will be taking a serious look at a P7000 though.

As good as the P7000 looks, it's killed because of lag time. Some are saying 5-7 seconds between images.

Johnny, good luck finding one, the big online stores have stopped taking preorders. And what I'm reading won't be out until last week October. This is a camera that a lot of people WANT. You'll have better luck finding it in stores before online at first.

oh no...another canon shooter! jk. yeah, i was considering canon, but i would have to sell all my equipment, which would take time haha..so i'm staying with nikon. I've been itching to tryout the video feature on a dslr for the longest time too, especially since the D7000 has autofocus on the video feature

I actually preordered it on amazon.com the beginning of this month, but if it takes too long, i might just cancel it and get it in stores. lol.

If you PO when it was announced, you have a good chance of getting one with the first release.

yeah that's what i'm afraid of.

this is my first time buying brand new camera stuff (purchased all my cameras/lenses used), and i'm used to waiting a few months after a camera's release before hopping on the bandwagon :P

I have an engagment shoot on november 6th, as well as a birthday shoot to do the week after, so hopefully i can get the new body before then!

I preordered mine in a local camera shop. They believe I should have it in about a week.

I'll be waiting until I can pick it up at a local shop. I'll probably be putting the D50 and D90 up in the bm soon.

I pre-ordered from B&H on Sept 15th - D7000 body only. I didn't want the kit lens as I already have the 17-55 2.8 that I use on my D200 and when I borrow my sister's D90. It looks like I'll have to wait longer because Nikon releases the body only package weeks later than the kits. I'm hoping I'll get it by the end of October or early November.

Congrats. I just ordered mine today. Just the body since I have that kit lens from my d90. Enjoy.

I was going to get the body only. I decided to keep my D60 for a backup and for my girlfriend to use, so I got the kit since I don't have that much glass yet. We will learn together how to properly shoot (basically me teaching her as I learn). Should make for some fun outings though. We will go into NYC soon and just walk around and shoot.

I will definitely post them after we go, but it may be a while. We have a lot going on the next couple months.
