Adobe RAW 4.6 Released
http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjour...onverte_2.html
FYI - This post over on Adobe's Lightroom team blog that states "This will be the last Camera Raw update for CS3 customers." So as far as Photoshop and Bridge CS3 are concerned, you will never be able to directly open any raw file formats that aren't on the supported list for ACR 4.6. Lightroom 1.x was similarly "frozen" even before this ACR update.
If you want to stick with using PS CS3 and/or LR 1.x, and you have a camera that isn't on theACR 4.6 supported list, then you will likely have to use a future update of Adobe's DNG converter to convert your raw files to DNG and then import/open the DNGs in PS CS3 or LR 1.x. That's a guess on my part though.

I don't really have a need for upgrading my software but I have been moderately considering one of the advanced point & shoot cameras. In that regard, the NAPP combo discount for the PS CS4 and Lightroom 2.x upgrades is starting to sound a bit more tempting.
