1)

Giottos
Digital Cleaning Kit

2) Get a tripod. You don't have to go crazy w/ it (price), you'll find many uses for it. If you can't wait, find something stable that you can move into position
( e.g. table) and set your camera on it. Make sure the tank light is on and use the fastest lens you have.

That's it in a nutshell

I would just use some lens tissue and some fluid.

and post pics of the aquarium.... I assume it is lit, but you aren't getting a fast enough shutter speeds? or is it more of a reflection problem? or a focus problem?

if it's your aquarium, you can probably move some furniture around or something to get completely stationary. If you shoot perpendicular to the glass it will be the least distorted, but greatest possibility for reflections.

I deleted all the pics I have taken. Porblems are every where with the pics, Focus because they are fast. Color, well it looks like shit.

I am going to BB just to pick up some lens wipes and a cheap tripod and will post some pics later.

This my first DSLR so my learning curve is quite extensive.

Can you get more light IN the tank? Faster shutter speed and those would be fine.

Also, put a piece of grey (18%) plastic inside the water and take a pic of it. Then set a custom WB based on that pic to get the colors better.

At those shutter speeds, a tripod is imperative, and with the lighting typical of aquariums your white balance is going to be tricky, hence your dicey colors. I would shoot RAW, so you can more easily adjust WB in post (or do what Stogie suggested), and use a tripod for the best sharpness.

Maybe even focus manually, because the glass may be fooling the camera.

I have a habit of finding the absolutely most complicated solution to a problem...
