^ Would have been better if you took the shot right before/after sunset. The sky is so dark that it washes out any contrast with the bridge, the trees, and your car.

 

Does it have to be used in 'everyone's' life or can be person-specific?

 

My original thoughts were: used in your every day life... but take the theme as you will and interpret it either way. The possibilities are endless either way.

 

Might be your monitor I see the details just fine. What I would have done however is put my car on the other side in front of the streetlight to get a backlight to separate a black car from a black background more.

Monochrome seems to be making its presence felt in this contest.

 

I've looked at it on multiple monitors and still can't make out any of the details on the bridge other than the top railing. Maybe I'm blind

 

it doesnt help that there is a tree blocking part of it. maybe all of yer monitors arnt setup right?

 

Ahhh... I can kinda see the tree now. That helps. I still think that if the shot was taking during that 10-15 minutes just after sunset when the sky still has come color it would look better.

 

actually the car is green... but it always looks a diff. color for some reason. if u turn up the brightness on ur monitors u could see the trees in the back and stuff. ive printed out this pic already and all the detail is there. its just peoples monitors that make them lose whats in the pic

oh.. and that was the first pic that i have ever taken with my camera when i first got it a year ago. i was still messing around with exposure times and stuff.

 

there was nowhere else to park the car

the other side had constuction stuff on it... so i parked in a driveway and cropped out the building materials

i was hoping it came out nicer, but it snowed like crazy minutes as i stepped out... (buffalo a low of 12 degrees this week)

 

haha cry me a river... its was -10 here last night and wind chills dipped into the -30 range.
