after his but resisted... don't wanna sway the tide but damn. and so I've been trying to think of the craziest things i can to combat this photo menace that is Dan Martin... some things I considered so far... somehow take a pic of myself sticking my finger into an electrical outlet.. hey i use electricity everyday, ya know? would probably be an "interesting" pic.. although I may not be physically able to post it after the fact... attach all my furniture to the ceiling, and light a bonfire inside and then flip the picture vertically - you know, it would be weird with the furniture on the ground, but the fire burning downwards from the ceiling! of course, there would be no PP. and relax, I would have fire extinguishers handy. and maybe, some backup from the CFD. hehe.. kids dont try this at home i am not really being serious lol. but wouldn't it be a cool shot. suspend myself from the ceiling using a series of ace bandages and double-sided permanent tape and/or rubber cement - yeah it would require some cleanup. from this position take varied shots of the household.. in a creative manner of course.. maybe while drunk. might have to be drunk just to withstand the pain. yeah so. suspend yourself upside-down. rig up a custom shutter release that triggers the shutter when you hit the ground - .. yeah. or something... hey just brainstorming

But you guys need to get your collective dicks out of his ass. I'm surprised he's not on here right now complaining about rectal soreness...

Get some confidence and put some faith into your own work.

and to Sarlacc, I was thinking the same thing, while Dans shots are truly amazing, they should be encouraging you to push the limits of your photographic creativity, not discouraging your efforts. I'm a total n00b to photography, I've only had my camera a few weeks, but seeing the talent in the contests has only inspired me to learn and get creative, they are not discouraging at all.

Too Srika, I thought about trying to photograph electricity too but the only way I could think of to display it was through an oscilloscope which is not very interesting at all, and I doubt a good lightning storm will roll through in the next 2 weeks.

 

This isnt true. Its all about what you try and do. I hate to use this as an example after my rant, but look at dans image....there is nothing exciting about a whisk...

Just try lots of different things, see what works.

Street Spirit- Fire... Im sure everyone use it in some way everyday.. Edit: If not tho, you can take it down. I wouldn't mind.

The Dougler- First was going to just some how take a "cool" pic of my hand but I could see the masterbation jokes cumming a mile away

So I decided to just set said hand on fire. It's that trick of using a lighter. Holding down the switch' i guess you can call it that' within
my closed fist and then lighting it at the bottom. Then open as the gas in the fist lights and you will get a puff of fire.
**Don't blame me if you set yourself on fire**
Took about 100 tries to get it to come out right.
So no PS chop shop there.. just crop/ or resize
