What city in Cali is the BEST to cruise on a Friday or Saturday night, Street Name any Picture's?

IhateCars tells me Bakersfield has a nice Saturday turnout, complete wth mini-carshow/cruisin afterwards. Not sure of the streets though, I think he said somethin about a drive-in.

in my teens early 20's So Cal in OC we started at the Orange Mall then to Katella to Beach Blvd to the PCH and on to Whittier Blvd which would be amazing 1000's of cars on Whittier.....On Occasion Van Nuys head up the 405swing thru Seal beach Long Beach then to Van Nuy's there would be twice as many rides LA Roadster would have several hundred there.....Then the move to Fresno....Belmont Ave 500 plus cars hot spot to be around Producers Dairy, Racing on Hughes.....Then it shifted to Bob's on Blackstone...Copper for racing or before Table Mtn casino Race up the hill to Sky Harbor, Woodward Park where Acurafest is going to be held the Road was in long before the Park opened lots of Racing for years heck even the 41 before it opened......Sacramento had cruising down on J...Del Paso... Broadway..Reno was hot to be in the summer, Virginia Street...

Last few years except for Hot August Nights in Reno or Pismo Beach the one big weekend they have......Cruising seems to have disappeared...Hard to believe with as popular the Car Scene especially Imports have gotten that it has faded away

I feel the same way, I grew up to Eye opening experiences on Kings Canyon (yes I know Lowrider City LOL) But it seemed like the Guaranteed spot to see good friends & meet new ones. After the city police started legaly regulating it it started to die, making it "uncool" I guess. Then I married a country girl & had kids, got into Offroading with my buddies, & ended up with a LR. Still enjoy the outdoors, but I am extremely happy with my acura. So since I miss my old days, why not re-create them.... ACURAFEST right. Great people/New friends & maybe an incredible mountain cruise after!

It's not that it's not popular, it's just that a few dipshits ruined it for everybody else that was having a good time and not causing trouble.

We used to have cruising here in Modesto on J St. and McHenry Ave. on the weekends years ago but stupid people were starting fights, vandalizing businesses, and doing other stupid shit which forced the city to ban it. They had to use too much of the police resources to keep it peaceful so it had to go.

Modesto was once known as the hotrod capital of northern cal, Turlock had some awesome swap meets, Merced used to host one the largest Car Show meets in Norcal

Trio i forgot about Kingscanyon it was a cool spot to be, yes the Acurafest cruise will be sweet

Nothing in the Sacramento area that I am aware of. The local scene dried up about 15 years ago with zero-tolerance enforcement by state and local law enforcement task forces.

i say we do a CA coastal line cruise then it up the bay area to hang out Red Voodoo is right same here in cencal no tolerance policy especially if you have an exhaust out here they send you to state reff los bano's is notorious for this policy i think. lol
