Although we couldn't keep with all the promises from last year, most importantly finding a venue that can support not only the size and turnout of AcuraFest, but also be feasible enough so we are not left with a budget to munch on saltine crackers and capri suns. Both Roger and I took several trips out of our personal time up north and down south to meet with event coordinators and venue representatives. After much debate it was decided that this years event will be honorably held at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, on October 9th, 2010!
Last events turnout was far better than we expected with over 140 Acura's and 600 attendees. Caravans arriving from all over including San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. So set aside your October 9th weekend! (If interested in being a Caravan Organizer, PM me)
Chukchansi Gold Resort is a perfect weekend getaway that is able to host a large event such as ours, and support ample & secured parking for us all! This event will have last years sponsors such as Acura of Fresno, showing off the latest Acura fleet, Heel Toe Auto, bringing you all your performance parts, and more sponsors!
The top lot of their new parking structure is reserved exclusive to this event.
We also choose October 9th weekend (Columbus Day) as this provides a much cooler, but yet still beautiful weather. We are not able to have a BBQ on the venue per venue policy, but there will be catered lunch, as well as wide variety of dinning experiences within the resort from the Noodle Bar, to the Buffet. Live DJ and a live art show will be setting the atmosphere during the event just as last year. Best of Performance, Best of Show, Best of Stance, Best of Audio, are just a few of the show categories. New Acura Line-up will be available to test drive just like last year (there is a mountain road adjacent hint hint). The casino itself is a footstep away from the event if your feeling lucky and want to put $20 on black.

We have also worked extra hard to get a huge discount on the room rates, and they have set aside a block of their hotel specially to Acurafest, so I encourage everyone to stay as we are finalizing the details of the After Party! Room rates are only $99 a night, which you can also split if your sharing it with someone else. To reserve your room, please call (559) 692 - 5200, and refer to Block # BAF-1009 for special pricing. This code is all you need and they will make sure your room is in our section of the hotel with the discount. These rooms are limited as regular pricing is $160 a night so don't sleep on it!
Mini RC Grand Prix
Held at the parking lot, there will be a RC car showdown. Decided at the time of the event, it will be either a Best of Time Trial, or a 1 on 1 Grand Prix. Prices and entry fee ($5-10) determined at the event. Cars & Batteries will be provided. Spaces limited.
After-Party Pool Lounge
For the After Party, we will be securing their pool-lounge for us exclusively. There will be a bartender to serve and mix up drinks, as well as music. Great part about this is that this area will be accessible to all ages, but it's 21+ to drink. Will be updated with more details as we hear back from resort
Canyon Cruise
For those staying, there will also be a cruise up the backside of the mountain to a local lake the morning after, from where we can relax and enjoy the view before the caravan back.
Lastly, because of last years turn out, we decided to keep this more exclusive to Acura members only. We will be reaching out to Nsxprime, My8thGen.com (Accord), and a few select other forums closely related to us. Please do not post this on other forums without approval from Roger or I.

A big CONGRADULATIONS and THANKS to all of you who worked to get us such as well organized and exclusive event set up. Definitely worth the wait, it's going to be the best Acurafest yet!!
So is Acura corporate involved thru reps from Acura of Fresno? Any details on the rooms such as bed configurations, are all rooms in the discount $99? Definitely interested in staying the night.

OK so last year we had VIMAL make us some ACURAFEST license plate covers with our AZINE names on them, can anybody help us out this year. Of course people wil pay the $2 for them. Last year he printed them on reg paper like at Kinkos or something.
This time we will also need name tags or stickers. HRMMM maybe an acurafest event bracelet?

I MAY go..... dunno. School starts..... hopefully I can get some kinks fixed with my car too. If not and I still can go i'll bring out the Cayenne so Josh isn't the only Aziner without an Acura..... and i'll also be able to haul shit for Mike if he needs still.
