Vorsteiner: GT3 V-FF 101 (based on Porsche 911) News
From Vorsteiner...
In February 2006, Porsche revealed the first generation of the 997 GT3 model. The vehicle was an evolutionary step for the GT3 as a track car turned road car. It gave the owners a decent bump in performance, afforded better handling and introduced a revised style overall. The Porsche 911 GT3 of the 997 generation featured a brand-new 415 PS (305 kW) 3.6 litre flat-six engine. It gave the 911 GT3 impressive performance, allowing the vehicle to sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in as low as 4.1 seconds, together with a top speed of 193 miles per hour (311 km/h).
Road and Track Magazine was able to achieve a 0-60 mph run in just 3.8 seconds. Porsche’s official test-driver Walter Röhrl completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 42 seconds with the 997 GT3 in 2006.
The Porsche GT3 featured “zero lift” aerodynamics, meaning the car creates only aerodynamic downforce and no grip-diminishing “lift” upwards and away from the road surface. This gave drivers improved handling and better overall cornering performance. The vehicle made use of a modified, track oriented version of Porsche’s active PASM suspension. This made the GT3 the first of Porsche’s RS or GT3 versions to feature an electronically adjustable suspension system.
Even as these look pristine, the time since their introduction reveals the need for some refreshments to its exterior. Vorsteiner V-FF 101 Flow Forged wheels are the best aftermarket upgrade for such a vehicle.
The Vorsteiner Flow Forged wheels are some of the lightest aftermarket wheels available today. This makes them a perfect addition for high-performance vehicles like the GT3 in both style & performance.
These V-FF 101 Flow Forged wheels are sized 19×8.5 and 19×11 front and rear respectively. Both vehicles come with the same setup size wise and both feature the gorgeous Carbon Graphite finish was applied to both.
