Very Irritating TSX Review from MSN(but still pretty good!)

Following is a link to MSN's recent review of the TSX. How irritating is the title???!!! "The new TSX is a nice package, but it's no BMW 3-Series. " No kidding.. really? Did anyone really challange this lady to equate the TSX to a Bimmer? NO! Acura simply said it RIVALS the BMW. This does not mean it beats the BMW-only that, for the $$$, it come pretty dang close. That's my understanding. I guess no one told this lady. Also-what's up with the comment about the front end. Does she need glasses to see the front end of a BMW looks like a flat-nosed beaver? "the front end of the TSX has the ho-hum Acura family styling that's not really as forceful as a BMW front end." Forceful? I think the TSX's front end has a way more sporty looking front end than the boxy BMW's. Please read and comment. Am interested to know of you guys were as irritated by this as I.

Yeah, it is annoying to me, but maybe for a slightly different reason. I don't care about all those "comparison" statements, as long as the reviewer spends enough time talking about just how the car is, gives the reader a real and vivid impression of how it drives, rides, and feels. And she just didn't. It's like, yeah, she drove it, and yeah, she thought it was good -- SO TELL US ABOUT IT, DUMBASS! Instead she just keeps going on and on with that stupid chatty stuff about talking to Navi. She doesn't really want to review cars; she wants to tell stories.

But really the MAIN disappointment was she didn't say anything about 612 N. 26 St.... (Inside joke, everybody; don't worry about it!

It went something like this: "What time do you get off work?" my traveling companion asked the system.
What a stupid bitch.

The TSX's torque of 166 lb-ft at 4500 rpm isn't quite as much as the 175 at 3500 rpm in the 325i.
Try 180 if you did any research.

Now, if only something can be done about that Acura voice recognition navigation system.
Now, if only something can be done about your dumbass not giving the correct commands in the correct manner.

Well Acura needs to cut their BMW marketing out.

Let's just chalk this review up for the "G" file ... G A R B A G E!!!

Now if you have a desperate need to wash this BAD TASTE out of your mouth, just read the CANADIAN MSN review of the TSX.

You'll recover quickly and that smile of yours will be back.

God you guys get worked up easily. It's only one persons opinion, there is no need to resort to calling her profanities.

it's just that she's hired to write car review articles, and she should at least know what she's talking about. Like someone said above, she probably drives a Chrysler Town & Country

I agree..it's a review, not an anecdote.

P.S. I don't think the house exists..looked it up on Multiple Listing Service..not there..not in recent tax records. Sorry..I tried! Pretty scary part of town these days..

Pros:
-Expected Acura quality
-Fun 6-speed manual
-BMW similarity from the side rear

Honestly, she couldn't think of anything else to write?
I agree - this review was annoying; at least she gave it an 8 rating.

I don't necessaribly blame her for bringing in the BMW (Acura's press release was boldly calling BMW out, if I recall correctly), but she turns it into an Acura vs. BMW review more times than necessary.

Come on now, the review wasn't that bad. She made the joke about the Nav system in the context of fun, not seriously trying to operate the nav. Every car reviewer has made the mistake of not following the directions, and she is no different. And Honda DID target the 3-series in their press release so it's their own fault for the comparisons. She took it too far but she was right. No matter though, I'd never buy a 3-series so she can kiss my ass.

she said the nav system is quirky, which it isn't if she had used it properly
