Unfortunately the S2000 is not a "flexible chassis" like the Accord/TL/TSX or the Civic/RSX/CR-V chassis. The car was purpose built around the F20C and does not lend itself to "expansion" I wonder if the R&D on the F20C was partially recouped on the new K-series engines? They are remarkably similar in construction (not counting the i-VTEC head). I have pined for such a car myself, but I would be concerned that a larger car (say TSX weight) might overwhelm the 2.0 (now 2.2) liter engine from the S2000?

um...NO... you have to be smoking very powerful stuff to put a S4 in the same league in quality as an accord. my original point still stands uncontested, title of thread was Accord outhandles S4 and S60R, the accord doesnt outhandle the S4. end of story.

i won't even get into the details of how a S4 is not comparable to the accord.

and if he is saying a AWD car with much more power and straightline speed is in the same class as the accord just because it got similar laptimes or what not, a focus or peugot is much closer to the accord than the accord is to a S4 or even S60 R.

and as so much here on this board like to point out, just wait til it snows and bad weather comes, then FWD > RWD..but in this case AWD > FWD

yup. i love how all the cars are lapping the accord, it should get out of the way, but maybe its brakes have long faded and lack of torque as well so cant get out of its own way.

A lot of this has to do with Germans losing their minds adding more and more power, making their cars bigger and bigger and more and more complex electronics. It KILLS the driving experience.
The Mclaren F1 is still the greatest performance car ever made, not b/c of AWD or 4 turbos but b/c of lightweight and the driver felt connected to the road.

Now true no S60 or S4 owner will cross shop the Accord/TSX but it shows that you don't need 900hp to have fun.

Off the topic a bit, I wonder if the Euro Accord/TSX naming will confuse a lot of people unfamiliar with the subject. The fact that some Asia countries get the NA accord makes things a bit confusing. I wonder if Honda should just put the TSX face on the NA accord next year...

Starting in 2005, Lexus will be sold in Japan. The two companies are seperating everything slowly but surely.
