NISMO-Equipped Vehicles and Parts Showcased at
2003 SEMA Show

- NISMO S-tune and R-tune Accessories On Sale Now, Ideal For Performance Driving-

LAS VEGAS – NISMO and Nissan will team-up to showcase three NISMO-modified vehicles, a 350Z, Sentra SE-R and the debut of the NISMO Altima, at the Nissan booth at the 2003 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Also on display at the show will be a variety of NISMO performance components. NISMO, the premier supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles, now offers a wide range of hardware, accessories and apparel through participating Nissan dealers nationwide.

NISMO components are offered in two levels of specification – S-tune, intended for street driving and covered by the Nissan Limited Parts and Accessories Warranty (see warranty and dealers for details), and R-tune, designed for high-performance off-highway applications.

“The purpose of these vehicles is to show what NISMO components are for – enthusiastic driving; taking a vehicle that is already fun to drive and amplifying that to the ultimate level,” said Kenneth Zapp, senior manager, Specialty Vehicle Group, Nissan Marketing. “They were built to show how NISMO products were designed to work on the Z, Altima and Sentra, individually and in combinations or stages of components that the typical performance enthusiast would select.”

NISMO S-tune and R-tune Components, Legacy, Lifestyle Accessories on Sale Now
NISMO components designed for the 350Z, Altima and Sentra, as well as various lifestyle wear and accessories, went on sale beginning in June 2003.
Currently, a full array of NISMO components – suspension, wheels, cold-air intakes, camshafts, performance exhausts, even floor mats and shift knobs – are available for the 350Z and Sentra SE-R, with Altima components coming later this month. This is just the beginning of NISMO’s performance offerings. Throughout the remainder of 2003 and 2004, additional NISMO components will become available, including full body kits, driveline parts and more lifestyle accessories. NISMO performance parts will also be offered for the Frontier truck lineup and the Xterra sport utility vehicle.
Nissan has also provided NISMO parts for enthusiasts with older Nissans. A wide selection of NISMO Legacy components are now available for vehicles such as the 300ZX, 240SX and the previous-generation Sentra SE-R. All Legacy components are designated R-tune and are not warranted.
“NISMO’s impact has been felt by Nissan enthusiasts everywhere, with an incredibly strong NISMO following emerging on the Internet,” said Zapp. “We’ve seen great excitement that NISMO is here.”

NISMO – The Proof is at the Track

All NISMO components have been designed and tested with high-performance driving in mind, as well as the safety and longevity inherent in Nissan’s reputation.

Peter Cunningham, owner and driver of the winning NISMO-sponsored 2003 Speed World Challenge Touring Car Championship TeamRTR 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, has been able to spend some time behind the wheel of NISMO-equipped 350Zs and Sentra SE-R Spec Vs. “From first-hand experience, I can tell you that NISMO accessories really take these vehicles to the next level,” Cunningham said. “They’re faster, more responsive and a lot more fun for the driver. These S-Tune cars feel track-ready. As a professional driver, I’ve seen a lot of aftermarket components installed on cars. It’s refreshing to see NISMO accessories were actually designed to work with the platform. Weekend racers and street enthusiasts should feel good that a company like Nissan cares enough about them to offer them such choice.”

About NISMO
NISMO originated in Japan in 1984 and has established itself as the premier supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles in Japan. NISMO components in the U.S. cover three areas - NISMO “S-tune” (which are backed by Nissan’s Parts and Accessory Limited Warranty, see warranty and dealer for details), “R-tune” suited for the weekend racer and NISMO apparel and lifestyle items. NISMO parts are available only through participating Nissan dealers.
“NISMO’s philosophy is to provide products that actually enhance the driving experience for the customer,” said Zapp. “Looking at Nissan’s lineup of vehicles, including the Altima, Sentra SE-R Spec V or the 350Z, is evidence that Nissan vehicles are tuned to people that are passionate about driving. NISMO takes that driving experience and accelerates it even further.”
