S2000 knocks off 4 other roadsters in C&D comparo!
In the new issue the S2000 wins comparo over the Z4, TT, 350Z, and boxster. It also stated that for the 04 model that minor changes to the front and rear design and oval exhaust. Oh and a 2.2 liter with a lower redline and the new i-vtec engine making more torque combined with revised gear ratios.

What's i-vtec over regular vtec. I rode in the TSX with i-vtec and can't say I liked the application in there, could barely hear or feel the vtec, very linear. Is i-vtec like that for all the cars or just like that for Tsx's etc...I'd rather have the loud garl of vtec come on in the S2K

S2000 heart transplant to TSX?
Hello-
Well...I've been wondering...if Honda can't fit a V6 under the TSX hood, how would the 2.0 liter 4-banger from the S2000 fit? That would give the TSX a few more horsies Or what about the new 2.2 liter 4? That's speculated to have 250 hp...any possibilities?
Giddy up, I say!

But being relatively un-knowledgeable in the drivetrain department, how hard would it be just put the engine in the TSX and send the power to the front wheels? Why would it be a problem?

Shoot...I guess there was a reason why Honda didn't just go w/ the 2.0 liter 4 Well, I'm sure Honda already has it planned how they're going to refresh the TSX (whenever that time may be) and I'm sure there'll be a bump in horse power. Here lately, Acura has become obsessed w/ upping the HP frequently.

SPUDMTN, were u thinking at all when u started this thread??
:'( whew!! (those are tears of laughter)
But seriously, I understand how u wish the TSX had more power. You actually weren't too far off from the setup of the "Euro R" Accord.

That will take me a bit to get used to. I really like the sharp edges on the front of the current model and now it's all rounded - at first glance it looks too much like a Miata from those pictures.

So how long before we see the Euro R then? Anyone want to start guessing/betting? I'd guess that we'll see it in the major refresh...

I'm not too impressed either. The styling change is too subtle. The interior looks better but I'm still disappointed in the lower redline. Part of what made the car so unique and so much fun to drive was the 9K shifting...well, we'll just have to drive it and see...it's probably still just as fun (and now easier to drive).
