New Jag coupe
By Chris Thorp
This sensational coupé is the latest new model to wear the Jaguar badge - but if you look closely, there's something familiar about the front end. Seen that grille before? We think it looks rather like the Subaru Impreza B11S that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show six weeks ago - and there's a reason for that. Both cars are the work of Barcelona-based stylist Fuore Design.
The sketch shows how the car - codenamed XF10 - will look, and visitors to the Spanish city's motor show later this month will see it in the metal.
A spokesman for Jaguar told Auto Express: "We were asked by Fuore Design if we had any objection to it using the Jaguar badge, and this is the result. It's clearly not commissioned by us, and it's not a Jaguar designed by our people, but we'll be keen to hear the feedback at Barcelona."
However, the XF10 isn't a static show car like other Jaguar concepts, such as the F-Type and R-Coupé. The name is derived from the potent 7.0-litre 10-cylinder engine which lies under the bonnet. Thanks to a power output of 640bhp, the car is likely to sprint from 0-60mph in around 3.8 seconds, with a top speed in the region of 210mph. The performance is partly down to the coupé's weight. Built in Turin, Italy, it tips the scales at only 1,350kg - 100kg less than the lightest S-Type saloon.

Jag can't afford this. They are not selling x-types or s-types and the new XJ has been pushed back to this year. Jag needs to focus on QUALITY, it is seriously lagging.
They are actually thinking of pulling the X-type.

Exactly, no F-type. Ford is losing serious money with Jaguar currently. The X-type was to be their volume seller but is very short of expectations.
Read that Roadfly board for 2 minutes and the Jag owners have more quality problems big and small than dang near everyone.

SICK, you got a link?
these problems you mentioned...are they with the whole lineup or just the lower-end models? Because we haven't had any problems with our '99 VDP

Any one remember all the BS that Jag spilled about the XJ220 before its release? All kinds of numbers rolled around....V12, 220mph, 1000hp etc, etc. In the end, didn'd it get a V8? Still a sexy car, but many people who signed up for one prior to the actual release were pissed when it acutally came out.

THE XJ series from my understanding is a quality car now. Most issues are gone. Wow a VDP, those are rare.
Right. They were told V-12 but got a TT V-6. HUGE difference to buyers. Pissed em off. Jaguar is still suing customers over this.

Who am I?
x type blows my ass, father bought one a little over a year ago. Needless to say he has put less 3k on it. And also has since bought that crappy e320 4matic. Maybe he'll give the x to me, AND THEN I'LL SELL IT !!!

I drove an X-Type last year and it wasn't that bad...but it's still not a real Jaguar, nor is the S-Type for that matter.
EDIT: btw, thanks for the link, SICK...and the VDP is rare?
