That wing is like putting a sweater on a dead dog.

The car is ugly as it is, how much worse could it get.

I totally believe that. Lexus might up the bar at certain points actually. That would not surprise me.

We still need this news though to follow the...following

This is a great question especially after Lexus proved that they did not try to make the GS drive like a 5er when it came out a few months ago.

Even MOtorweek complained about that and they never complain about anything.

They should offer those wheels on the current Gcoupe, look good. I find it a little hard to believe Nissan would design a 2007 GTR around the current Gcoupe body as shown on the track. By then it will be a whole new platform and car with different proportions. Maybe a last minute refresh being tested, ala 4.0v6 or something.

Guess what, when the g35 coupe was introduced at the auto shows, everyone did drool over it, forum upon forum did drop down on there knees for it-fact. You saying you didn't shows something very acute that people will see as you continue to post, cough 1sicklex.

You can hate all new cars other than BMWs and people will see a trend in your posts- as they already have, considering most people here appreciate all brands in general because new cars benefit us, the consumers. Brand whores don't benefit from anything, nor do they help consumers.

I know that. Who are they trying to fool? GM tests Caddy's at the Ring, but they definitely would never test a Pontiac. Just look at their line up.

There you go misusing the word 'fact' again. If you seriously think that though, I feel for you; you couldn't be more wrong if you were named after something dogs piss on, and sent thousands off to die for your own agendas.

Jap is a derogatory term. You can chose to be a blind idiot and categorize all Japanese cars but no racist slurs.

And that 1-series really is something huh? Shares a HELLUVA LOT with the E90 3 series

From the pictures I think it looks sorta like a bad mix of a pontiac G6, a TSX, and a Cadillic CTS (in the rear).

WOW! I was never a Lexus/Toyota fan until I saw this new IS. With my 04 TL imitating a Chrysler K-Car with all its rattles, I may have to dump it for this IS. This Lexus is > TL.

You've got rattles in your TL? That's rare. I don't like the exterior of the IS better than the TL. But that interior of the IS is OFF THE CHAIN. That's for damn sure. They seem to be taking it to another level with that interior, IMO.

I don't think rattles are rare in the TL or TSX from what I see (and hear )

Yea, but look at the compression ratio on the IS350 it's 11.8 to get 310HP!! The VQ is only running a mild 10.3 compression ratio and makes up to 300HP, imagine what it can do at 11.8.

And look at the 2.5LV6 - 12.0:1 compression and a weak 201 HP. I guess the direct injection has something to do with that.

We are not that far from a merging of engine technology , direct injection gas compression is going up all the time and diesel is coming down (the Honda one is down to 16:1).

Glad Honda is on the diesel equation, it seems that the hybrid is the american bandaid. If hybrid was really the answer, why weren't the europeans all over it before us?

Positive outcome, diesel hybird. Euros established the diesel, NA will establish the hybrid.
