How much you want to bet that next year, Lexus will try to rain on BMWs parade at the Geneva show again when the E92 coupe debuts - by showing off its own IS coupe. And whenever the M3 comes out, Lexus will be right there with this thing.

I totally believe that. Lexus might up the bar at certain points actually. That would not surprise me.
We still need this news though to follow the...following

This is a great question especially after Lexus proved that they did not try to make the GS drive like a 5er when it came out a few months ago.
Even MOtorweek complained about that and they never complain about anything.

Guess what, when the g35 coupe was introduced at the auto shows, everyone did drool over it, forum upon forum did drop down on there knees for it-fact. You saying you didn't shows something very acute that people will see as you continue to post, cough 1sicklex.
You can hate all new cars other than BMWs and people will see a trend in your posts- as they already have, considering most people here appreciate all brands in general because new cars benefit us, the consumers. Brand whores don't benefit from anything, nor do they help consumers.

WOW! I was never a Lexus/Toyota fan until I saw this new IS. With my 04 TL imitating a Chrysler K-Car with all its rattles, I may have to dump it for this IS. This Lexus is > TL.

I don't think rattles are rare in the TL or TSX from what I see (and hear )

We are not that far from a merging of engine technology , direct injection gas compression is going up all the time and diesel is coming down (the Honda one is down to 16:1).

Glad Honda is on the diesel equation, it seems that the hybrid is the american bandaid. If hybrid was really the answer, why weren't the europeans all over it before us?
Positive outcome, diesel hybird. Euros established the diesel, NA will establish the hybrid.
