If you're taking a picture next to Scott Pruett, why would you cover your face?
Unless you're a or working for the competition? I'd be giving a mile wide grin I guess.
It's not like they're wearing fire retardant suits or even an open cockpit to shield the cold? Can't be a confidentiality agreement, the guy just spilled the beans on the whole car.
Sexy as hell...hearing about the partnership between yamaha (motors and music division) and lexus.

They really shot for the moon with this one. They're competing with the top of the line from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, etc. Not sure if Lexus has the cachet to be taken seriously enough by the fickle tastes and extreme vanity of people who can afford cars that price range.

Difference is that Lexus is already selling an ultra luxury over 6 digits sedan, so it's not as much of a leap (relatively speaking) for them to enter the flagship GT market as it was for VW to enter the flagship sedan market. The LS600hL Pebble Beach model can be loaded up to $150K I believe.

Perform better... unlikely, but we'll see. It already has SEVERAL key advantages: More HP&TQ, 6MT, Mid-engine, and it weighs ~250lbs less. Not to mention Porsche knows a thing or two about building a performance car...
Personally, I would take the CGT because....well... it isn't an ugly turd

At a Lexus event, I drove a 'base' 600hL which stickered @ $108k.....still the most expensive car I've ever driven. My wife wasn't aware that it cost that much until afterwards; when I informed her, her reaction was:

Here's a little something for those who hate the GT-R's style but love the LF-A's:
The Lexus LFA we drove recently made its first North American debut in LA. As breathtaking as the 552 hp supercar's performance may be, there are a few design details that just don't work. The one that stands out to us is that horizontal cut-line across the nose. This might be function triumphing over flash, but there must have been a cleaner way to execute the front of this car.

It's cool. It just doesn't scream $375,000 to me. Seems like Lexus could have made more of a spash with that styling if it was priced to compete with the ZR-1, R8-V10, GT-R, 911 Turbo, etc.

Sounding better comes down to personal preference....There are very few cars that sound better than a CGT, and I just don't think the LFA is one of them.

No watching the Detroit Grand Prix in person (83-88) were actual F1 cars racing on city streets. Two decades ago but I still remember the sight and sound! of Piquet, Senna, Prost, Mansell, Lauda battling it out.
