It has to be an 8 speed, if only for marketing reasons. The IS-F is 8 speed and so is the LS.

but the shifts seem to take an eternity as opposed to the GTR or a Ferrari.

too bad it doesn't have a dsg, but I'm guessing Lexus didn't want to deal with the possible reliability issues (GTR at launch)

I dont think the DSG was the issues as much as 5k clutch drops to AWD traction

Really? So far from the specs and looks... I think Lexus hit a home run with this thing.

Perfect amount of power all while keeping the weight down. Drool, baby. DROOL.

Impressive performance and it sounds great! But it unfortunately suffers GTR-itis.... who the hell designed that rear? absolutely awful.

I actually kinda like that central triple exhaust outlet and diffusing (not the reverse lights though) but its the lone redeeming styling aspect of the rear. The hood doesn't line up right and the air vent above the Lexus logo in the front looks like an afterthought at best. I'd have to see it in person but the front looks funky in these pictures.

and its overpriced.

yeah. I totally don't like what it does when it hits the side-quarter window, that curve for the vent there. Eye-sore.

I know it's for cooling but it totally doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

why did they even bother putting a window there? Why doesn't the vent line up with the roofline? It looks cheap, I wouldn't even expect something like that on a kit car.

and speaking of Ferraris, I think I'm also one of the very few that doesn't like the 458 at all, and I've always been a Ferrari kind of guy. The front end (where the hood and headlights meet) also looks incomplete, or someone got lazy and stopped midway. I guess this is "whats in" these days with regards to styling trends.

The whole car looks ridiculous IMO. It doesn't look like a $350,000 car and it doesn't perform like a $350,000. The front looks like a catfish-face carved into a pumpkin (WTF is up with those front fenders?!?), the side-view is typical Lexus bland, and the rear reminds me of Disney's Goofy. To top it off, we have been seeing this design since 2005 and it's not expected to actually roll into the showroom until 2011. The car is due for an update before it has even reached the showroom floor.

Now, remind me again, which one of those cars above is supposed to be Acura's $350,000 super-car?

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

500 units...given that each dealership owner will (likely) own one...that leaves very few for the general public.

Needs more torque

Uhhh Lexus never annouced the official pricing of the LF-A and the price your purporting is backed by your own asinine fanboy opinion. I've seen pricing estimates as low as $150,000 in the US for this car.

Lexus also hasn't officially debuted the car yet. The video released was leaked by a journalist. Shall we disregard the images also since it hasn't been officially released by Lexus? Ugggghhhh....

You know what VTEC, that didn't even make sense. Your logic (or lack there of) has been proven flawed multiple times before. Most people on here think you're a retarded Honda fanboy that can't even afford an Acura, and that you make a living cleaning them at the dealership.

Any logical person would be able to at least read the details of the various articles containing this information. The autoblog article that was linked on this page said that LEXUS HAS NOT ANNOUNCED PRICING. There have been no official leaks of pricing data, but pictures and specs have been leaked. It's that simple.

First reviews already: http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/...percar-review/

325,000 UK Pounds. Just for comparison, that is around $650,000.
