For some reason I'm starting to like the interior. It looks crazy, but in a good way.

Debut at 2011 Frankfurt...?
From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...furt-auto-show
An alleged invite for the reveal of a new Lamborghini supercar at next month’s 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show has surfaced online, reigniting rumors that a production version of 2010’s stunning Sesto Elemento concept car could be on the horizon. The key is an inscription on the invite that reads: “Lamborghini: Racing Towards Frankfurt”. Previous comments from Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann suggested that the automaker was considering launching a limited edition version of the Sesto Elemento but that it would only be suitable as track-focused race car, as getting the carbon fiber infused car homologated for road use would be too difficult and expensive. Such a possibility does not seem so farfetched considering the concept car is based around the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera platform. The only major difference is the Sesto Elemento is constructed from a new material called forged carbon, which helps keep its weight down to less than 2,200 pounds. Additionally, with Lamborghini only taking the covers off the new Aventador LP700-4 back in March, it’s still too early for the automaker to introduce its second volume model, the replacement for the Gallardo. |
I hope they make a limited edition track version. I would love to see one do a few laps.

Ultimate Gallardo will be presented at Frankfurt
Autoblog
The Lamborghini Gallardo has been on the market now for the better part of a decade. Along the way, it has led to countless variants: some with roofs, some without, some with all-wheel drive, some with rear, some with as less than 500 horsepower and some with nearly 570. Soon the entire range will be replaced with a new model thought to be called Cabrera, but before it does, word on the strada is that the Raging Bull marque is planning one last hurrah. And what a hurrah it will be. Reportedly based on the Super Trofeo race car that's fielded in the spec racing series of the same name, a "Super Trofeo Stradale" is tipped to debut at next month's Frankfurt show as the final iteration of the Gallardo. Little word at this point on just what it will entail, but expect more power and less weight than any variant that has preceded it. For reference, the track-bound Super Trofeo packs a 562-horsepower V10 but with 240 pounds less heft than the standard Gallardo and 88 pounds less than the stripped-out Superleggera. Expect the roadgoing version to hit 60 miles per hour in three seconds flat and run out to a top end of some 210 mph. We'll have to wait until we get to the Messe to find out more, but that's little over a month away, so stay tuned. |
Super Trofeo Stradale should be something to see. But then, what of the rumors of the track-only Sesto Elemento-esque car coming. Hmm.

OK.....road trip-Frankfurt, here we come!

Only 20 will be built but there's one thing you should know before you sign up for yours. You won't be able to drive it on the street. The production car will be virtually identical to the concept, which means it won't have airbags or other safety equipment required for legal use on roads in the U.S. or Europe. This car is strictly for use on a track. Powered by a 570 horsepower V10 engine, the Sesto Elemento is made almost entirely from lightweight but very expensive carbon fiber. The body, its wheels and part of the suspension system are made from carbon fiber. The car weighs about 2,200 pounds, which is less than a Honda Fit subcompact. Lamborghini boasts that the car can go from zero to 60 miles an hour in just 2.6 seconds |

Since the Gallardo LP550-2 (rwd) weighs 3,035 lbs and this weighs 2,200. I wonder how much weight adding AC and a radio would contribute. |
That is Swoosh's car, just in a Lamborghini.

^^^ can I haz it?

Maybe if I get one of these, swoosh will let me keep it in his new garage.

The side exhaust is super cool. Must be loud as fuck also, that close to your head. :drag:
Not the biggest fan of the front though- I'd have to succumb this to daily duty and have something much prettier for the weekend :D |

Want one? Sure...pony up €3M.
I hear BoostedJack owns the other 19 cars. :O A rare Lamborghini Sesto Elemento with only delivery mileage is up for grabs at an exorbitant price tag. One of the only 20 cars produced, Lamborghini's Sixth Element is certainly one of the most desirable track-only vehicles ever made not only because of its radical design, but also due to its astonishingly low weight of just 999 kg (2,202 lbs). It's powered by the familiar V10 5.2-liter normally aspirated engine which in this application delivers 570 PS (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. With so much power in such a light package, it's no wonder the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint takes just two and a half seconds while top speed stands at more than 186 mph (300 km/h). This is one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world and according to the ad this particular unit is the only one for sale in the world. Lamborghini asked almost €2 million for the Sesto Elemento, but this seller wants €3 million for his unused car. We won't be too surprised if the future owner won't drive it at all and in a few years will decide to sell it for more. |
