Hyundai: Genesis News
Oh, I'm quite aware of that.
Since Honda/Acura like to rebadge things (Isuzu) and share vehicle platforms (GM), Acura should rebadge this as a limited production Vagon. It's already got the grille design down. Just slap an Acura badge on it and done. Would probably sell better than any recent Acura sedan.

They need to build that and price it to compete with the C8 Corvette. No one is going to cross shop that thing with a Ferrari/McLaren/Lambo if it were to come with that kind of price tag. The brand just doesn't have the clout for that.
And before someone brings up the LFA, that car was a massive sales failure in its day. Ditto for either generation of the NSX.

I get that some don't sell well but there are plenty of flagships that do if priced properly for the brand they represent. The C8 Z06/ZR1 are great examples of this, ditto for the Audi R8 and Porsche GT3. Both are a little stretch of price from the "normal" cars but not a crazy amount.
If Genesis, known for selling knock off luxury cars (albeit good ones) in the $35k-$75k range, decides to drop a $400k supercar almost every single buyer will lol on the way to the Ferrari/Lambo dealerships.

To expound some more -
Countless videos out there speaking of the LFA in such ways. Clarkson said it was the greatest car ever made, I believe. F1 drivers and other race drivers. And that's even with the slow shifting gearbox.
And having driven one on a roadcourse, I can attest to that myself.
And I will mention a detail thereof - BEFORE I drove it, I was kind of on the it's not worth $375k, just kind of on that "hater" bandwagon. AFTER I drove it, I was just WOW. My first thought was, I need to find a way to get one. Obviously that has yet to happen (haha) But just damn, it was an incredible experience.

I've never had the pleasure of driving the LFA but if I was in a position to afford a car of that value, I'm not sure I would even bother looking at one vs the alternatives.
Oh I'm sure it's a good and even great car, no doubt about that, but they didn't really sell all that well. Comparatively, the Veyron, Aventador, Ferrari FF, etc all sold out their first year volumes (and in the case of the Veyron, many years of volume) by means of preorder. The LFA didn't do that in any year of production and dealers were having trouble even moving the cars. It wasn't a car that was beloved until AFTER it went out of production, which seems to be the case for a lot of these types of cars. See also, 1G NSX.
