It's probably harder in my age category to make a convincing argument in favor of Hyundai as most of the folks in my 30-something demographic still think 'Excel' (the piece of crap that I owned) when it comes to Hyundai, not 'Azera' (which is an EXTREMELY nice Hyundai).

Hyundai is on a roll AND under the radar.

Well considering the options out there right now, the Tiburon needs more than just a 170hp V6 ... It needs at least 230-240hp and probably a bit of a diet.

I LOVE the Tibby but my Mz3 was just a better option right now.

EXACTLY....one of the people that i was talking about was my 40 year old dad, so you are completely right. I think he even had an excel when he was 21 or so glad he's moved on to the M5

Well I wouldn't call it a 4 Runner since it appears to be an indy in the rear. The new Santa Fe is about the size of a 4 Runner now, this looks even larger.

Hyundai is on the cusp of being a great car maker and I would not hesitate to buy any of their new redesigns and IMO anyone that wouldn't either is a pure badge snob or is uninformed. Plus I think now is a great time to buy, you can still get huge legacy discounts but I suspect not for too much longer. If nothing else Hyundais are a great beater, you can buy a Sonata for the price of an older Accord and get a fantastic warranty as well. My only nit to pick is their interior design but they still do better "cheap" interiors than Nissan did when Carlos first came on.

I can't agree with that statement more. I saw an Azera in vegas last week and seriously did a double take.

Awesome exterior. Very classy.

And how are they comparable? Maz3 is a sedan or wagon, has nothing to do with this 2-door car. Looked at some numbers and the Tibby v6 is right there against an rsxS acceleration wise and price wise with a lot of options added on, can see how anything other than hyundai becomes some performance stretch over the brand everyone loves to hate.
