Also remember that the drivers side of the car is usually heavier than the passenger, perhaps that slight shift still keeps the balance intact.

crazy. hyundai is definitly on the rise. but in korea, hyundai has models out that are really luxurious already. wish they would bring a few of them over here. they probably will once they start powering these engines here!

WOW! That thing looks rediculously amazing. I can see obvious designs from MANY other makes, but this thing looks awesome.

The 3.5l in the curent xg makes 194hp, the 3.3L in the new sonata is going to make 230hp. (hp/l people clap out loud (hplcol)). Ps, that new sonata shows what Honda should have done but didn't, that black Sonata is damn hot and the new SI shows what the accord coupe should have been, double failure ouch.

Looks like the XG will get HID lights which is a first for a Korean car in N.America. Aybody look at the chart? Looks like their gunning for the 5 Series and Lexus ES330 as their benchmark?

If the XG is priced right, that might steal some sales from other large sedans.

Keep in mind that they’re target market is the general public and not enthusiasts like us. If that the case, then they’ll sell boatloads of these. They’ll be no stopping Hyundai.

The main competition to the XG would most likely be the Avalon, maybe the 500, and other large, cruiser-type sedans (Buicks come to mind)...
I think it could do well in that segment as a bargain option in terms of price. The current XG starts at 26k, and I'm sure they won't raise that much, if at all.

I like the Sonata more, but I am REALLY liking the efforts Hyundai is making. Pretty soon, they'll be right with Toyota and Honda IF they keep their latest quality stuff going. Good job, but I think the Avalon and maybe even the Maxima (despite shitty materials) are better buys in this segment.

hyundai's relentless growth continues! i like this one better than the new sonata. front is kinda weak, but rear and side looks awesome. interior is much better than the current version.
