I've lost faith in Honda designs... First the Accord, then the new Acura RL and TSX. Just plain ugly.
After the S2000 is gone, there will be nothing desirable in their lineup.

One thing I do not like about a lot of current SUVs is that rounded shape. Super curvy around the tailgates...rounded rear designs.
Those SUCK for real internal storage and utility. I think they is why the trend for SUVS has been moving back the square boxy shape.
This new Honda looks like it hold a good size amount of gear. And leaves the rounded, girly designs for the mini-utes.

When I look at those pictures of the new Pilot I see confusion. The front end is just awful and looks nothing like anything else in their lineup.
And if they wanted to differentiate their SUVs/Ridgeline from their cars that would be fine with me. I can certainly see the reasoning behind it.
But the front end is just awful. It's busy in parts and then empty in others.
I'm one of the first ones to preaching looking past the exterior to the interior because that's what we see but good god man, the exterior is just bland and minimalist in a completely incoherent way.

As for minimalist, I like that. But I drive a 1st pathfinder with is VERY boxy and minimal looking.

I think it's horrible. Bland exterior (even by Honda standards). The current Pilot has more visual cues throughout, and that's saying a lot. What's with the goofy looking headlights?

^ why did they discontinue the X-trail? Do you guys have the Rogue now?

I feel like I am in the twilight zone. It is a shame that people get paid to design such atrocities. It boggles the mind that someone at Honda Corporate actually looked at this thing and thought " Oh yeah, that's the one!"
Then again, these are the same people that brought us the original Pilot, and the Ridgeline (which Inexplicably is in abundance at all of my local Honda Dealer's lots.)

The blue interior did in fact make it to production. Our first order gave us the option on white, Bali blue and silver for a blue interior. I'm sure you guys are thrilled. mileage is the make or break for this car, with gas at 3.50 a gallon mony Suv/Cuv are struggling. If the Pilot with VCM can acheive 17/22 it will sell. We will also sell a lot of accessory grills.

This is better than the concept Pilot at the Detroit Auto Show. Honda is listening to their customers. I am hoping they make some changes to the RL based on seeing this.

BRILLIANT, HONDA, BRILLIANT! Out-content your own MDX!
They should think about equipping the Pilot with ventilated seats, active cruise control, and CMBS, too, just for safe measure.

With as much as 4,600 pounds to motivate, Honda figures you'll need something useful from under the hood, so its 3.5-liter V6 delivers 250 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 253 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm.
Are these guys serious? The competition is pushing 270-275 or 290 in the case of the GM Quadruplets.
By the sound of things the new Pilot will be great. But I can't get past those looks.

Current one looks better IMO.

the 03-05 ones look the best
honda is about to lose one of its customers very soon if they keep this up
there arent any new acura models that make me go "damn, i want that"
same with honda with the exception of the s2000
IMO, the accord looks hot because of how nasty the last gen was
