Actually, if the roofline stayed higher, it would almost look like a "mini-RX330"

"Hot Type-R and fuel-saving hybrid versions are certain"

well there's an ok start, sticking to what they do best i guess. A Civic-R with a 2.0L is a winner any day, its just that they don't bring it here. I don't like the sharp TSX-like lights on the egg-shaped body, but then again, these are spy pics. Well see in due time.

back looks interesting... it's could be either good or bad. The lines look crisp to the back, and then unfurls, it seems. Honda's been slackin in the design department, let's see if they buck up and make this interesting.

Well, it the looks are gonna be what they seem to be, euro sales are gonna suffer a bit from the Megane, 147, and the new golf.

There's no way the car in those pics is the USDM Civic.

Biker, who wonders if this thing will have its coming out party at the yearly show in Geneva.,

I like it.

Although the body lines can use more of a lift (not the perfect terminology), I like the simplicity of it.

Ugly as it might be, it's no match for such heavyweights from Fiat :

But American Honda is said to be worried that the new car won't resonate with U.S. Civic customers

Looks like MT nailed the front end, the slant of the windshield, the small triangle windows on the doors, and the lights and bumper look very much like the spy shots - even though the back is a hatch compared to a coupe...

Looks like another UGLY generation of the Civic.
They should bring back the late 90’s body style.
They haven’t looked the same since then.

I actually like the styling of the old Civic SI.

Can't see them going with a hatch again after the SI flop.

Although the hatch sells very well in Europe and the car in the photo is right-hand drive.

one of the mags says it is reverting to the coupe for the SI after the flop of the hatch.

but the sketch was kinda llike the pic above. So, who knows, we'll see.

Hopefully, they will spice up the look of teh regualr civics. The late changes made on the 05 models were a little more aggressive...just too late.

hmm, looking at those pics more closely. If that is the SI...its seems more of a natural evolution in design from the previous hatch, and not the current one.

kinda like the 3rd gen lude to the 5th gen lude, where the 4th gen didnt really fit in terms of exterior design evolution.

I don't think that's an SI...they're generally 2-doors. Look close enough and you can see door handles for the rear doors, mounted on the pillars.

You seem be correct in that statement. But we'll see. remember europe tends to get 4 door hatch models we dont. ie: GTI

Or perhaps honda is trying to radically change it up for once.

time will tell.
