As the father of two in a family of four, I'd be interested in something like this. (so long as it at least has the current AV6 powertrain )

If you watch the flash preview (very boring, BTW) the ending shot has a view of the front at an overhead angle. It resembles the Civic concept that was just unveiled, except it a grille instead of the lights running across from one end of a headlight to the other end. Even the hood bulge is similar.

Perhaps Honda intends to go after the tC's panoramic roof with the new Civic...

I believe it's not a retractable moonroof/sunroof...it's just a plain glass roof. It's a 5-seater wagon, around the size of a Civic.

That's what I thought. I'm guessing that using electricity, you can make the glass clear or tinted by a switch or even better, a rheostat.

Pretty interesting but to be honest, glass cannot possibly be a strong as metal. I wouldn't want my passenger compartment exposed like that during a rollover if one happened.

This includes new interior pictures. It looks pretty nice, from what I can see.

^ Very nice indeed. It's truly a station wagon with, but looks like an attractive minivan... I like the looks of it inside and out.

The roof is retractable, and it looks huge. But I think you have to keep in mind the car's proportions. Supposedly this is based on the Fit, which is a subcompact (read: smaller than a Civic), so in the end, the moonroof may not be so big.

any engine spec and tranny spec?

It is a nice family car. I want one to replace my CLS, so I can have a Boxster S (the wife) and Z4 (mine) at home.

Just like most Japanese wagons, this one won't come to North America as well.

For the Us I see no point, its about as attractive as if it had a chevy badge on it, if anything in the compact van size I'd say FRV.

I don't think it retracts at all. glass-roof/sky roof is what it is. Honda itself says "window glass is fixed in position."

Oh...and it sits in between the JDM 5-door Civic (low-end) and Civic Sedan (high end). You just need to look at the dimension specs. It may have been based on the sub-compact Fit, but it is considered a COMPACT wagon.

You're right, it doesn't. I looked at some of the pics with the roof supposedly open, but upon closer inspection you can see slight reflections off of the glass.
