Meh. Interior was nice and personally, I liked the majority of the car, except for anything beyond the rear wheels.
Yes, it's enough for me to not buy one.... but... it also seems like it wouldn't have taken much to resolve the fugly.
Look at the TLX... they slapped an aspect badge on it, some different wheels, pipes and grill and people are going bananas for them now. It would've been easier to fix the crosstour.

Most probably would. However, there is a subset of us that really like the looks and practicality of a nice wagon. The Crosstour just happened to miss the mark on the "nice looks" part.

Was it the 2012 Civic that got so many complaints that Honda did a pre-MMC refresh after 1 year? Maybe, if there's enough criticism on the exterior, it'll get a minor pre-MMC refresh?
Overall, it looks good, but the rear

I know looks are subjective, and I often times have cars grow on me once I see them in person (2015 Civic), but I'm simply not feeling the exterior on this car enough to purchase it. I work at a Honda dealership on the side so I could have gotten a pretty sweet deal on this thing too, but instead I just purchased a Tacoma after seeing this thing.
I'm very excited for the tech in this car though. Any new Honda without the sensing package is a pretty bland car right now, so I defintiely agree with the decision to make it standard. Glad to hear Honda is keeping the manual around as well.

Right but that usually comes with the caveat of "only when equipped with automatic transmission". For example, the WRX now comes with Subaru Eyesight...but only with the CVT since the MT is ineligible.

I see what you mean. And dammit no adaptive cruise control on a manual WRX? FML
it kind of makes sense thou. Car can't shift itself
maybe high speed adaptive cruise control.

You know... there might be an easy way to fix the tail lights. That solid red piece on the trunk... the rear end would look so much better if it matched the body instead. I wonder if it'd be possible to get it wrapped in a body coloured wrap, or something. Or get them painted. It wouldn't be much. Unplug them (they're otherwise useless), and paint them. $100 mod.
Just place your finger over that solid red portion of the tail light, and the rest of the tail light looks so much better.

Taking off the bottom 'tail' gives it a Camry look, taking off all of the red on the trunk lid gives it a WRX look.
Definitely not feeling just removing the top red bit from the trunk lid, looks too disjointed.

I don't mind the rear. It's not bad, but it's also not good. It's just okay. I could live with it.
The front that Miz posted above, the smoked chrome... I really like:
As for the rear, how about filling in part of the white section with plasti dip (?) and then covering up half of the lower portion of the red taillight section?
Maybe something Honda can fix for the 10th gen MMC?

My least favorite thing is that stupid chrome strip on the bottom side of the car.
#4189
Well if it happens then I'd be all kinds of happy about it.
Yeah, I doubt it'll have low speed follow with the MT. There's no way for the car to work the clutch. Anyway, I don't think that'll be a show stopper for someone buying a manual...since the whole reason you do it is to change your own gears and work your own throttle. For long highway trips, it would be awesome.

If you keep it simple, all you would need is 1 piece of red and 1 white vinyl to wrap each of the corresponding sections.
#4194
also, making fake tail lights with wrap would be a new one for me. Can't say I've ever seen it. I just can't imagine it looking good.
