Citroën: C4 news **Facelift and 2 New Engines (page 1)**
CITROËN C4
The new C4 is the raw material for the new company World Rally Championship car, replacing the very old Xsara. We saw the race dolled-up version of the C4 at last March’s Geneva show and little has altered. This is a cutie that takes on some of the good-looking shapes from the smaller C3 and gets back to Citroën’s quirky roots. The interior redesign is the cleanest and most futuristic yet from the company. At last, they have a serious rival to the all-conquering Ford Focus. Technology includes a lane-wandering warning system that gets triggered if the car changes paths significantly at high speed without signaling, as well as cornering headlights.

Citroen C4 gets a Facelift and 2 New Engines
From Citroen via WCF...
900,000 sales since 2004 aint half bad for the Citroen C4 and now the French brand will look to maintain its success with a new upgraded model with a touch up of the exterior and interior styling along with a two new engines.
The exterior styling sees a more curvier look to it with a completely restyled front end to mimic the design of the all new C5. Some additional chrome accents, new body colors and new alloy wheels help complete the look, although it could be argued the final result ends in quite a conservative appearance lacking any sort of aggression.
The interior has not gone unnoticed by the Citroen designers, where it gets small updates to the upholstery with a new velour or leather options available and the rev-counter has been repositioned to the center of the dashboard display. Citroen has used the new C4 Facelift to introduce its new “MyWay” navigation system with a hi-res 7'' color screen, other technological enhancements include Bluetooth® and USB connectivity as well as an audio system with a built-in 10GB hard drive.
Under the hood Citroen replaces the 1.6i 16V and 2.0i 16V engines with two new engines co-developed with BMW. Both the petrol engines have a displacement of 1.6-liters, the first is a normally aspirated 120hp Vti with Variable valve lift and Timing Injection whilst the 150hp THP (Turbo High Pressure ) engine comes in at 150hp.

Citroen DS4 revealed
Autoblog
Citroën previewed its next-generation design language at this year's Geneva Motor Show with the DS High Rider concept, and the first production car to use these shapely new lines will be the DS4 five-door hatch, which makes its debut at the Paris Motor Show in just a few weeks.
The DS4's two rear doors are nicely incorporated into the overall shape and a set of muscular wheel arches and sloped roofline give the high-riding hatch a sort of coupe-like profile from some angles. LED running lamps top the front foglight surrounds, and Citroen's minimal use of chrome lend the DS4 an upscale appearance. Additionally, those big arches will be nicely filled with a range of large wheels – 19-inch alloys will round off the top-end models.
Inside, Citroën has created a cabin that is both luxurious and spacious, with a tall, raked windshield providing a large, clear view of the road ahead. The chunky-funky steering wheel, sculpted dashboard and center stack look fresh and modern, though we'll admit that the tiller's design stands out a bit in what is otherwise a sleek, modern cockpit.
When it launches in 2011, the DS4 will be available with five powertrain options. Two diesel engines will be available, producing 110 and 160 horsepower, as well as three petrol-sippers, cranking out 120, 155 and 200 horsepower, depending on your need for speed. The three gasoline engines were co-developed with BMW, and the full range of powerplants can be mated to either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
We'll be checking out the new DS4 in person in the not-too-distant future. For now, Citroën's official press release beckons after the jump and a high-res gallery of shots is below.
