Gav so it is battling the GS/E/5?? The last Seville was in comparos against the S/LS/7 etc (and got creamed over and over).

The only thing I can complain about are the seats. Give me a little bolstering or make sport seats optional. BMW does this, so logically Cadillac should follow.

True about the hop. That's what was responsible for most journalists not been able to break into the 4s for the 0-60 run. Pathetic. I hope they fix it next year already.

That cars looks very nice, and the interior is a step up and also nice, but i dont think its any kind of mindblowing interior, still simple, easy, the new tl still has it beat.
a V-series with manual tranny would be sick, what would that be an m5 fighter?
whats up with the CTS-V axle hop thing? there a link for that?

Unfortunately thats the only prob I see also, its a nice cadillac, but it really doesn't spark any excitement and I think thats what it needed with the new rl, gs, and m45 coming.

I'm sorry but that is a step back for Caddy. The last 2 gens of the STS were good looking cars and the interior was awesome. This leaves my head scratching. The CTS looks cheap, this looks cheaper. Where is the luxury stance?
It masks it's size well. But no way I'd take this over any Benz, BMW or Lexus. Or Audi.

imo, modern cadillac got to be one of the ugliest car brand ever, but i guess they are aiming for their targeted market/audience - people who dont like curves.
all current cadillac and that one spied pic baby mercedes maclaren pic send chillz up my spine everytime looking at their pictures. they are just so hard on my eyes. IMO

Many journalists during reviews of the CTSV complained of rear axle hop, hence the low 5s for the 60 instead of the mid 4s claimed by Cadillac.

I am sure the V series will look better but any car with a drop, bigger wheels and a kit looks better.

This is a great car for Cadillac. They won't have a problem selling, and the V series will be something serious. I think the softened edges work well here, and I definitely like the interior better than the CTS's. Having driven one, I'm VERY impressed by the XLR, and Caddy finally showed some balls by charging what they ask for that thing. I just hope they take that no-excuses approach to the DTS (Deville) successor and build something serious to comptete with the S-Class,7-Series,Q45,LS430, and A8. Perhaps that V12 rumor will materialize also...

To me, the car looks slightly cheaper and more downmarket than the current STS. I still like the overall look, especially the exterior. The interior, which looks like it was designed by someone using a T-square, seems a little cheap to me. It kind of reminds me of those old 1980's Cadillacs,
