diddo...but we've had HUGE arguments about domestic vs. import, and the XLR always keeps on popping up. Im all for Lutz...but come on man...no way it can compete with an m5...MAYBE m3...

compete w/ M5 or M3? Who said that? The competition is the SL, SC430 and XK8.

beltfed for one, i think gav was in on it too...

i think a while back lutz made it pretty clear he wanted it to compete with the m5, and so thats how the argument started...ppl saying that gm could never match the quality/sports feel of imports...other saying they could, and so on...

i think they will sell a lot more units, and make more money in the end if they sell it for arround 50k

No you are confusing the XLR which is a luxury hard top roadster w/ the upcoming CTS V-Series (the performance version of the CTS)

i think they got the interior right this time, finally, but that price seems off for a base, maybe for a top model with hiperformance engine.

Nope. Wrong. I was also part of the discussion. We were talking about the CTS-V as a competitor to the M3/M5.

The XLR is nothing like those cars. If it would compete with any BMW, it would be the Z5

well nonetheless this one is a dissapointment for me...320 hp is good enough for most (including me)...buuut not for a $75k car

maybe the cts v will be better

Interior looks okay. At the Auto Show, it looks pretty bland and ugly to me. Though RAPPERS with no TASTE will make it popular. 75k for a Caddy on a CORVETTE platform. No thanks, I'd get the Vette.
