I don't really care for the V8 thing, I know the subject is trite. Was talking about the market moreso than myself.

V6 IMA 350hp sounds very nice in RL...

The 6-speed auto in the Lexus has a substansial effect also.

Lexus claimed 5.9s 0-60 for GS430, while C&D got 6.6s for RL.

I have been thinking about this for a while. Think about this guys:
If Acura does to the RL what LExus has done to the RX400h for about 5K increase in price, it would be THE UNBEATABLE DEAL in the class. It will make it the undisputable winner right now (excluding what the others can do by then). But if IMA is incorporated to the RL next year and the RL now makes 375HP with A TON of low end torque, has the SHAWD and does 20/30 on the gas consumption, for $55K, who can touch that thing in the class? BMW will lose sales from both the 5 and the 7 series, same for Lexus with the GS and LS, etc.

I expect the GS430 to be well under 6 seconds for the 0-60 run. I would not be surprised with consistent 5.7s from it.
