So, I started looking at the regular Regal offerings ..... and I was disappointed in how vanilla it looks. This GS (possible) variant is the only version that I'd ever consider .

^ I don't know about the Buick versions of the Regal, but most Insignias I saw in Europe looked good even in plain trims.

It's not bad looking, for sure, but it was really the Vauxhall OPC/Regal GS version that really caught my eye, and it would be the only version I will buy.

different strokes for different folks.

there isn't a snowflake's chance in hell I'd buy a regular Impreza wagon. but I'll take an STi anyday.

Same here. I'd take the Evo X over the Lancer. But perhaps it's because performance is a consideration for me. And I am also looking for good looking AWD vehicles...

The GS is definitely the only one I'd consider as well. I love that interior...

OMG, please please please please please bring this car over here as the Buick Regal Sports Tourer GS! Same AWD, 6MT, and HP as the GS sedan! I'd sell a kidney for it.

This and the GS sedan and Buick could instantly become the American Audi.

I'd buy that wagon in a heartbeat.

Agreed. I love the GS, and I would love it even more in a wagon type. I really, really want a wagon as my next car.

I think Buick has way too much invested in their SUV lineup to ever consider a regular wagon.

All they have is the Enclave. And it's gigantic.

I think there's room for a wagon in their lineup. Especially considering the CTS Wagon is like a bajillion dollars.

. I was thinking GMC with all the SUVs. A cheaper alternative to the CTS wagon certainly makes sense.

BTW, base price for the Regal is $26,245 ... No idea what's standard yet.

I really want the GS even at 260hp. I wish it was closer to the Insignia's 325hp powerplant but I can't be greedy I guess.

I figure a GS will probably be about $33-35k.

I was going to say, Holy ! That's a Buick?

...but now I see that they literally rebadged the Opel Insignia OPC. Very nice looking car and good looking specs. Looks like this would sell well.

Saw the GS at the Chicago Auto Show. Wow. It looks even better in person. My buddy and I stared at it for quite a while.

They had it on a spinning pedastal and wouldn't let anybody inside it, but from the short distance the recaro seats looked very inviting.

Good looking car, but what's up with the blue coloring? You need to white balance that car. I don't even know whether that's a white or silver car.

Pretty sure it's the same car that's at all the shows.

It's a White GS 6MT ... And it looks amazing in person.

It was a pearl white 6MT. Sorry about the blue tint.....I was experimenting with some of the internal camera settings.

I wish they'd have kept the 2.8 turbo from the Euro version.

Meh. While I appreciate Acura and Buick offering a wagon they will not IMO sell many. It will be a failed experiment.

Maybe their surveys recently are seeing a less negative attitude toward wagons. As CUVs drift away from traditional SUVs toward the wagons it's reasonable to assume that wagons could make a come back. This could be a nice A4, 328, TSX wagon alternative.

Wagon sales levels may not return to the levels of the 60s and 70s, but the EPA mileage rules will force automakers toward the more traditional wagons fairly soon. The ever more cost aware customers will also push up wagons sales. All the folks buying those 25K TDI Jetta sportwagons do see something in them.
