Acura is suing Lincoln over the 2007 Lincoln MKX crossover. Acura says the MKX name is too similar to the name of Acura's MDX crossover and will cause customer confusion.
Acura filed a lawsuit in federal court in Los Angeles, Acura spokesman Mike Spencer said. The Acura MDX debuted in 2000 as a 2001 model. The Lincoln MKX will go on sale late this year.
