There is a thread on edmunds that claims navi models will be delayed. Anybody confirm?

I can't say where there is or isn't any validity to this claim. With all of the reliable sources we have on this board, I'm sure we would have heard about this. If it's recent info, I'm sure we'll receive some confirmation of the delay.

 

I don't think my dealer would have the navi model on her allotment sheet if they were not arriving. But what the heck do I know?

I don't buy it. I do recall a similar issue with the '03 MDX w/nav. They were working out some issues with the voice recognition. In that case though, there weren't any build dates for the orders with nav. The only people getting that confirmation were those w/o.

In this case, my dealer has rec'd a build date of 9/30-10/4 for my 5AT/DMM/Parchment/Navi.

Stranger things have happened, but based on this, and the fact the navi is only slightly upgraded from the one currently used in other models, my best guess is that the reports of a delay are unfounded.

 

I've seen a lot of references to build dates. What are these exactly? Are they dates that your particular vehicle will begin production? Or are they dates your vehicle is scheduled for delivery to the dealer? Thanks!

 

Build dates refer to the timeframe your vehicle is scheduled for production at the factory in Ohio. Dealers will usually advise a delivery date approx. 14 days from build date. My experience is that the car often arrives sooner than expected.

 

I have a Navi 04 TL that has a build date of 9.29-10.03 and its one of the first TL we have coming so I doubt they have been delayed based on that Info.

Because of the auto show here in town we are also getting one of the first 6-speeds too and its going to be dressed with all the accessories. (hopefully A-spec)
