the Audi LeMans Quattro.. I still can't believe how close the production model looks to the concept... MAJOR to Audi for pulling that off.
I mean I guess we still haven't seen THE production model yet... but it looks like it's gonna be looking pretty damn close to the concept.

I hope this car won't be called the R8. That would be an insult to the real R8.

At dealerships in mid-2007...

Audi yesterday announced that preparations for the production of the new Audi R8 sports car are moving ahead quickly. The car will be available at dealerships in mid-2007, according to Audi. “The R8 will be manufactured entirely by hand. This means that the employees must be highly-qualified and have a lot of experience,” explains Werner Frowein, Managing Director of quattro GmbH — Audi’s manufacturing subsidiary. Due to the complexity of the project, many employees involved in creating the prototype will be involved in the series production of the Audi R8. Certain employees have already been able to acquire the special skills required for the construction of exclusive sports cars in the start-up phase of the Lamborghini Gallardo. Audi is expected to show the production version of the R8 in September at the Paris Motor Show. The car was presented as the Le Mans quattro Concept in 2003.
