$60k is a bit rich now that I'm thinking about it again.

The starting price of the S6 is $72K, S4 is $47.5K, S4 cabriolet is $55.7K
I still say the S5 will have a base of $58K-$62K + whatever the options are.

Verts are usually more pricey due to the fact that they require more body structure reinforcement.

That would be the worst strategic move for the S5 in that sense because then the S4 cabriolet wouldn't be that far off from the S5 cabriolet.
My guess is no, as the product would be kind of redundant. Audi doesn't need two 4 seat convertibles.

That would make really good sense to get rid of the 2 door version of the A4 all together thereby allowing them to lower the price of the S5 to that of the A4 cabriolet price and still having room for an S5 carbiolet down the line if they want.
By that token, the price estimates you suggested would make complete sense.

Been reading a lot about the Audi 5 today. It is sized to the BMW3, not the BMW6, this will be the new A4 platform too. The 335 turbo is faster than the A5, but the A5 will be a little more $ which may damper sales some.
The Audi5 is roomier than the 3 coupe cause the wheels are pushed out to the max. The S5 performance will be under the M3. The SR version performance may be over the M3.
US price guesses are getting more accurate due to other markets pricing showing up. A5 base may be around $40-42, S5 base may be around $50k.
I like this coupe overall better than the BMW3. Not crazy about Audis doubledeck grill. The S5 led running lights in the front are cool.
I wish Acura would bring out a new premium coupe. It would not equal some of the German features but it would be good enough for me. Oh yea, Acura, bring some styling too, not some, lots.

For some reason, when I look at the side profile I think 6 series, when I look at the shape of the hood I think a smoother Caddy XLR and the rear very 3 series coupe.
