Add you applicable tax.
No thank you, a car definitely for Audi faithful.
It's nice, but its not that nice.
Also, most dealers are charging MSRP from what I have seen.

That made me laugh out loud.

Anyway, yes comparing it to a sports car is not a great comparison.
But is just a reflection of how pricey the RS4 happens to be.
And as said, Audi took out the cool seats, the cool steering wheel, and the starter button. All of which combined to make the RS4 interior look special and I'm sure feel special.

And all that happened due to safety requirements in the USA.

Might be true about their sales department but their service department have been great. Even their service advisors always keep me updated on my car.
Then again most car salesmen dont know much but who cares about them.
Lets not generalize because i can find bad dealers for every make.

I am sure there a good Audi dealers and bad Lexus dealers, etc. However, every experience I have had with an Audi dealership on the sales level was terrible. IT was not even mediocre. IT was treatment I'd expect from a Kia dealer. Not to pound on Kia, just trying to make a point.

Could your imagine getting fired for lying on your resume. I swear I never went to college!!!

Oh I wouldnt know about sales, I only had to deal with one dealer for that and it went fine. Nothing great though so I agree Audi sales department are low quality.
Service department is all I care about now since thats who i deal with during ownership.

I know a few Audi loyalist who will be getting them. But other than that i dont see many people buying this over other cars in that price range.
Shame. Audi seems to always be one step back and annoys the crap out of me.

if I had the money, i'd buy one. I don't care if it's more expensive than an m3.

If they offered more options or packages that were enticing I think they'd sell more cars.
the thing I'm most annoyed with is the lack of tranny options in their cars compared to BMW. I wish audi offered their lower model cars, a3 and a4 in manual with their 3.2 v6 engine. if they did, i bet you a lot more people would buy them, especially the enthusiasts (that's off course if they can ever fix their clutch problems that they've tended to have from what I've heard).

well the reason why i get confused as to why they won't offer it, is because they are going to offer the s3 version with a 6speed manual with the more tuned v6 engine. I mean how hard is it to simply matte it with the standard v6.
oh well.
my only hang up with purchasing the 2.0T is that I've heard concerns with overheating the engine because of cylinder 3 (I think ) because of the engine design. And if I were to mod it, i'd be scared of blowing the engine. And the a3 2.0T is a car that would be very hard for me to try not to mod.

Overheating? I know that on cylinder 3 the coilpack is known to fail due to heat. Thats common even on the 1.8t. I didnt know its happening on the 2.0t... that sucks. But it wont blow up the engine do to it.
But its a $20 part and takes 3min to swap out. Just annoying.

Spy Shots: 2008 Audi A4 - - Source: The Car Connection
By the end of 2007, Audi will replace the current A4 with a new model. The next A4 will get smaller: while most new cars grow in size, the new A4's overall length is rumored to shrink by between three and four inches.
The new A4 will again get its power from four- and six-cylinder engines and diesels. The most powerful versions will deliver between 250 and 500 hp.
These photos show a prototype mule caught during cold-weather testing in Scandinavia. The test car is apparently a sport version featuring four exhaust pipes similar to those on the BMW M3.
