The engine constructed by American Le Mans Series and Le Mans Corvette engine builder Katech to specifications laid out by master Corvette tuner Dick Guldstrand is now available for just about any Chevrolet V8-powered car, truck or sport/ute. That means your Suburban can be fitted with the same 500-hp, 520-lb-ft 427 V8 from the Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvette (AW, March 17, 2003). It bolts straight into 1997 and newer Chevys, and a special adapter kit will get it into everything all the way back to 1955 Chevys.
