Hopefully this will be our definitive answer to our longstanding ipod question. Said to be designed and developed with input from Apple this "media ready" Alpine might find it's way into the HU Hall of Fame if it weren't for it's aesthetic similarities with the likes of Dual and Pioneer. Although skewed from the old time refined "alpine" look this little puppy is rumored to pack quite a punch: 6gen Ipod ready as well as previous "Apple Serial Bus" (ipod dock) models, 2gen BT ready (on-screen capabilities like the Pio Z1), 2gen HD radio ready (additional HD programming), and obviously carries over the features of the old (ie SAT, mp3, CDCH, yada yada yada.) Also with a nice but small LCD and the addition of the KCE-415i (currently only available in Europe) the X001 should be Ipod Video compatible.

 

That thing looks like a sweet unit!

 

I like the screen but thats about it LOL. I think they could have designed it to look a little more appealing.

 

the faceplate looks pretty ugly for an alpine...

 

This deck can be had on Ebay for under $250 and I could use a new deck for my integra but before I do I wanted to ask if any of you guys purchased this unit? Any thoughts, reviews?
