XM option on 2004 TSX?

I don't have XM, nor do I care much for it, but I saw this and didn't think the TSX had this option. Since some people think it'll be on the 2005, thought I'd throw this out there.

Saw this on ebay

instructions

Am I missing something?

It looks just like most of the aftermarket models with a seperate display unit you have to mount somewhere. How is this worth $600?

I'm guessing if it ever is available it would be integrated in the head unit like the TL's is.

It's absolutely NOT worth it IMO, since it is FM Modulated, not even hard wired. Buy an XM Commander, and get that shit hardwired with the SNHOND3, it will be a couple hundred less $$s, and will sound dramatically better.

i didn't say buy it, just that it exists.

one thing that might be interesting is the pocket the use to replace the "not an ashtray". people have been fabricating their own, but if you can buy the piece, it might be useful.

I have xm satellite factory radio. I paid the extra dollars cuz I negoitated a fair deal for it. It was not cheap that I assure you, but i bought the car as a complete package. I didn't want to drive to circuity city or have those audio shop/unprofessional staff tear up my dash to put it in! I admit, the xm commander is probably nicer and atleast it has a remote which I don't or didn't get one, but I didn't want to bother with the install!

My install was amazingly well done. Infact, I drove a loaner without the xm radio, it looked bare and naked dash board......and I love the xm radio itself....for $10.81/month i get 250+ channels including cnnfn and bbc world.

250 channels? and $10.81 a month!? xm is 9.99 a month and has 120 channels...

but anyways... bass mechanic did the mod for me to replace the not an ashtray... at http://67.18.48.66

it will take a while to load if you are on dial up...

i think it was worth the $110 i paid for him to do the mod work on the area... he will send back the cig ligther and the not an ashtray so if you want to put them back in you can by ordering just the utility pocket from acuraparts247.com if you decide to sell the car basically....

i bought the commander on sale from circ city for $135, paid $110 for the mod, (paid for shipping to him and back)... and i prepaid the service for 4 years... (discounts for prepaying for longer terms..but you can cancel early and get a prorated refund)

i love it :-d

I think he might be confusing the channel numbers with the number OF channels. And could $10.81 be with tax?

vikra, just looked at your install. Wow. I'm not into having TV or a PC in the car but the reverse camera is great. Cool AND useful. Enjoy.

So what about the 2005 TSX?

Anyone got any scoop if the 2005 TSX will have a bona fide XM like the TL. I mean integrated into the Stereo, and even better on the Color Screen if you opt for the Navi?
