Which would sound better
Which would sound better
Hey guys. I had my subs firing into the car for a while now, but decided on flipping it around so it fires back instead of into the car. Cause firing it in, makes it seems like there's lack of bass. Just wanted to know how you guys have yours...and which way would be better?
well...
Everywhere that I hear, the best position for the sub is to fire towards the back. You get better response out of it, and the sound isn't as muffled. Subs are meant to displace air, so I would figure if you had it facing the back of the rear seat it's not displacing that much.

I have 2 Soundstream Exact 12's in my car facing into the trunk. I have actually tried them facing into the car with poor results, however I have seen a lot of subs in a lot of cars like that. Flip that box around I think you will prefer it facking the trunk!
Hey guys...well i flipped it around..and let me tell you guys something...UR RIGHT... it sounds so much better..i get more bass...but the bad thing is..i'm gonna have to redo my trunk..cause my amps are still on the box...so i'm gonna have to move them to the back seat...well...THANKS for the help
